Although primarily known for mining techno in all its forms, Freerotation resident Duckett has shown great versatility through his recording career. That versatility comes to the fore on Feeding Paper Tigers, which could well be the producer's single strongest EP to date. It contains a string of ear-catching highlights, from the shimmering IDM melodiousness of "Simulation" and deep house-meets-post dubstep warmth of "There's Things About You That I Would Never Tell You", to the wonky and mind altering drum machine rhythms of "Half Remembered Days" and sparse-but-funky "Outsider". Opener "Living With The YPJ On Venus", a kind of deep, post-dubstep/broken house fusion layered in techno style bleeps and fluid jazz-funk electric piano solos.
